Our Kyoto Nishijin Ori Textile is s 100% silk material, woven with strong twisted yarn (called Kyonenshi), it feels good on the skin, absorbs moisture easily, and dries quickly.
In addition, we do not perform any chemical processing on the inner fabric of the mask and use 100% cotton natural material so that it can be applied to people with sensitive skin.

新型コロナウィルスが猛威を奮いはじめた２０２０年夏、京都西陣織製織部門伝統工芸士が織り上げた西陣織を使用したマスク、「和のますくす 」が誕生しました。
そして今春、２０２３年３月１３日、遂にマスクの着用が個人の判断に委ねられる事になり少しずつマスク着用前の生活に戻りつつあります。
しかしながら新型コロナウイルス感染症は完全に無くなった訳ではありません。今やマスクは飛散防止や花粉症などからも私たちを守ってくれる生活の中になくてはならないアイテムの１つとなりました。
和のますくすのネーミングには、「日本の伝統工芸を世界へ」という想いが込められています。和のますくすでは、この日本の素晴らしさを世界に伝えていくため、WANOMASKS by WAVOCA Kyoto,Japan.として令和５年４月より生まれ変わります、マスクのみならず日本の様々な小物商品の販売を開始させて頂く予定です。

In the summer of 2020, when the COVID-19 began to rage, the "WANOMASKS" was borned using Nishijin brocade woven by traditional craftsmen from the Kyoto Nishijin.
On 13 March 2023, it was finally decided to leave the wearing of face masks to individual decision-making, and life is gradually returning to the way it was before masks were worn.
However, new COVID-19 infections have not been completely eliminated. Face masks are now an indispensable item in our daily lives, protecting us against air-borne diseases and hay fever.
The name 'WANOMASKS' is based on the idea of 'bringing traditional Japanese craftsmanship to the world'. In order to convey the splendour of Japan to the world, WANOMASKS will be reborn as WANOMASKS by WAVOCA Kyoto,Japan. from April 2023, and will start selling not only face-masks but also various Japanese accessories.
